Accordingly, at An Giang warehouse, the price of rice OM 5451 is being purchased by traders in the field at 6,700 – 6,800 VND/kg; OM 18 rice 6,900 – 7,100 VND/kg; IR504 rice price is being purchased by traders at 6,700 – 6,900 VND/kg; Dai Thong 8 rice at 6,900 – 7,100 VND/kg; Miss Hoa 9 costs 6,600 – 6,800 VND/kg; Japanese rice is also stable at 7,800 – 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Nhen rice (dry) at 13,000 VND/kg.

With sticky rice, Long An sticky rice (fresh) at 6,300 – 6,600 VND/kg; An Giang sticky rice (fresh) 6,000 – 6,300 VND/kg; AG (dry) sticky rice at 7,400 – 7,600 VND/kg; Long An sticky rice (dry) costs 7,700 – 7,900 VND/kg.

For rice, the price of raw rice and finished products is adjusted to increase by 50-100 VND/kg. Accordingly, IR 504 raw rice is at 10,500 – 10,600 VND/kg, an increase of 50 VND/kg. Finished rice is at 12,100 – 12,200 VND/kg, an increase of 100 VND/kg.

With by-products, the price of by-products increased sharply from 50-300 VND/kg with dried bran. Specifically, the price of IR 504 sheet fluctuates from 10,100 to 10,300 VND/kg, an increase of 300 VND/kg. Meanwhile, the price of dried bran increased by 50 VND/kg to 7,450 VND/kg.

According to traders, the amount of rice today is still small, the price of rice of all kinds increased slightly. The rice market is vibrant, traders ask to buy a lot, farmers gradually offer high prices. Especially fragrant rice OM 18 / Dai Thom 8 demand a lot, prices increase.

At retail markets, the price of rice is usually 11,500 – 12,500 VND/kg; Intestinal sticky rice remained stable at 14,000 – 16,000 VND/kg. Nang Nhen rice is priced at 22,000 VND/kg. Long grain Thai fragrant rice maintains 18,000 – 19,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice costs 15,000 – 16,000 VND/kg.

Huong Lai rice costs 19,000 VND/kg; Common white rice costs 14,500 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice costs 18,500 VND/kg; Soc rice usually fluctuates from 14,000 to 15,000 VND/kg.

Soc Thai rice stable price 18,000; Taiwanese fragrant rice costs 20,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice costs 22,000 VND/kg and bran remains at 8,500 – 9,000 VND/kg.

In the export market, the price of rice for export increased by 5 USD/ton. Specifically, 5% broken rice traded at 548 USD/ton, up 5 USD/ton; 25% broken rice at 528 USD/ton, up 5 USD/ton.

Along with Vietnamese rice, the price of Thai rice increased sharply by 11-15 USD/ton. Accordingly, the price of Thai 5% broken rice was at USD 588/ton, up USD 15/ton.

According to statistics, from the beginning of the year to July 15, on average, each ton of rice exported was worth more than 530 USD/ton, an increase of more than 40 USD per ton compared to the same period in 2022.

The three largest rice export markets of Vietnam at the beginning of the year in Asia include: Philippines, China and Indonesia, with the results respectively (updated by market in the first 6 months): 1,698,593 tons, 857 ,7 million USD; 677,387 tons, 390.6 million USD: 492,801 tons, 244 million USD. Export activities to 3 key markets all had positive growth compared to the same period in 2022.
