Accordingly, at An Giang warehouse, the price of IR504 rice is being purchased by traders at 6,700 – 6,900 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice at 6,900 – 7,100 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice ranges from 6,400 to 6,600 VND/kg; OM 18 rice price 6,600 – 6,800 VND/kg; Miss Hoa 9 costs 6,600 – 6,800 VND/kg; Japanese rice is also stable at 7,800 – 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Nhen rice (dry) at 13,000 VND/kg.

With sticky rice, Long An sticky rice (fresh) at 6,300 – 6,600 VND/kg; An Giang sticky rice (fresh) 6,000 – 6,300 VND/kg; AG (dry) sticky rice at 7,400 – 7,600 VND/kg; Long An sticky rice (dry) costs 7,700 – 7,900 VND/kg.

With rice, the price of raw materials and finished products remained stable. Accordingly, IR 504 raw rice is at 10,200 – 10,250 VND/kg. Finished rice is at 11,650 – 11,700 VND/kg.

For by-products, the price of IR 504 sheet ranges from 9,700 to 9,800 VND/kg. Meanwhile, the price of dried bran is 7,350 VND/kg.

According to traders, now the amount of rice is less than yesterday, the market rice transaction is quiet. Rice prices tend to increase. Demand to buy a lot for long-cut rice.

In the past week, the domestic rice price adjusted up. Domestic rice trading is active. Rice prices mostly recorded an uptrend compared to the previous week.

At retail markets, the price of rice is usually 11,500 – 12,500 VND/kg; Intestinal sticky rice remained stable at 14,000 – 16,000 VND/kg. Nang Nhen rice is priced at 22,000 VND/kg. Long grain Thai fragrant rice maintains 18,000 – 19,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice costs 15,000 – 16,000 VND/kg.

Huong Lai rice costs 19,000 VND/kg; Common white rice costs 14,500 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice costs 18,500 VND/kg; Soc rice usually fluctuates from 14,000 to 15,000 VND/kg.

Soc Thai rice stable price 18,000; Taiwanese fragrant rice costs 20,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice costs 22,000 VND/kg and bran remains at 8,500 – 9,000 VND/kg.

In the export market, the export price of rice slowed down after an upward correction. Specifically, 5% broken rice traded at 533 USD/ton; 25% broken rice at 513 USD/ton.

In the past week, Vietnam’s export rice price has increased sharply by 20 USD/ton – the strongest increase since the beginning of the year.

The global food supply is declining sharply, while Vietnam’s rice area and production is relatively stable, which will be an opportunity to maintain sustainable rice exports. Therefore, farmers should keep the rice growing area stable, in addition to ensuring food security and also serving for export.
