Rice prices today, November 30, in the Mekong Delta region continue to trend sideways. Transactions of new hybrid rice, rice prices of all types have not fluctuated.

Rice prices today, November 30, in the Mekong Delta region continue to trend sideways. Specifically, with rice, in An Giang province, updates from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of this province show that prices of all types of rice generally remain stable.

Currently OM 5451 rice is at 9,000 – 9,200 VND/kg; IR 504 rice remains stable at 8,700 – 8,900 VND/kg; OM 18 rice is at 9,100 – 9,200 VND/kg; OM 18 rice is at 9,000 – 9,200 VND/kg; OM 380 fluctuates around 8,600 – 8,800 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice fluctuates around 9,200 – 9,400 VND/kg; Flower 9 fluctuates around the mark of 9,100 – 9,200 VND/kg.

Similarly, dried An Giang sticky rice is stable around 9,400 – 9,800 VND/kg; Dry Long An sticky rice is priced at 9,400 – 9,800 VND/kg.

There are no changes in rice types today compared to yesterday. Accordingly, the price of OM 5451 Vietnamese raw rice continued to move sideways and fluctuated around 13,350-13,500 VND/kg; Finished rice OM 5451 maintained around 15,600-15,700 VND/kg.

As for by-products, today went sideways after yesterday’s upward adjustment. Currently, the price of OM 5451 plate remains at 11,700-11,800 VND/kg and dry bran is stable around 6,600-6,700 VND/kg.

In November, domestic rice prices tend to increase and decrease alternately between weeks. However, the general trend is that prices increase compared to October. The average price of rice in November is higher than in October.

In Cai Be, Tien Giang, the rice source is low. Rice prices of all types tend to decrease. Meanwhile, in Dong Thap, rice sources are small, mainly from Cambodia. Purchasing demand is stable.

In An Giang, the factory offers regular sales, and prices of all types of rice are stable and do not fluctuate much. In Cai Be (Tien Giang), the rice supply is relatively stable.

At retail markets, today the price of Soc rice is usually at 19,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice at 19,500 VND/kg; Nhen rice fluctuates around 26,000 VND/kg; Jasmine rice is stable at 16,000 – 18,500 VND/kg; Regular rice is usually priced at 12,000 – 14,000 VND/kg; Common white rice 16,000 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant rice 18,000 – 20,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice 19,500 VND/kg; Squirrel rice usually costs 16,000 – 17,000 VND/kg; Thai squirrel rice 18,500 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice 22,000 VND/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam’s export rice price was adjusted to increase by 5 USD/ton. Accordingly, the export price of 5% broken rice is at 663 USD/ton and the price of 25% broken rice fluctuates around 648 USD/ton.

Similarly, the price of Thai rice of the same grade increased by 5 USD/ton, to 618 USD/ton. With the current increase, Thai rice has shortened the gap with Vietnamese rice to 45 USD/ton.

In addition to 5% broken rice, both other types of rice, 25% broken and 100% broken, in this country were also adjusted to increase. Accordingly, the price of 25% broken rice in this country is currently at 569 USD/ton (up 5 USD), 100% broken rice is at 491 USD/ton (up 4 USD).

Pakistan’s 5% broken and 25% broken rice also increased sharply by 15 – 25 USD/ton. Accordingly, 5% broken rice is at 598 USD/ton, an increase of 15 USD/ton; 25% broken rice increased by 25 USD/ton to 528 USD/ton.

According to the General Department of Customs, in the first half of November, rice exports reached 332 thousand tons, worth 219 million USD. Overall, from January 1 to November 15, the country’s rice exports reached 7.37 million tons, worth 4.155 billion USD.

Thus, this is the first time in a year that rice export value exceeded the 4 billion USD mark. Previously, rice export value reached its highest level in a year in 2011 with 3.518 billion USD.
