In the rice market, rice prices today continue to be high. specifically, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, the price of Dai Thom 8 rice remains at 7,800 – 8,000 VND/kg; IR 504 rice price fluctuates around 7,400 – 7,600 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice remains stable at 7,600 – 7,800 VND/kg; OM 380 rice fluctuates around 7,500 – 7,600 VND/kg; Long An sticky rice (dry) price is stable at 9,600 – 9,800 VND/kg; Taiwanese rice 8 price is at 7,800 – 8,000 VND/kg; Follicle 9 at 7,600 – 7,700 VND/kg; Japanese rice price is 7,800 – 8,000 VND/kg; OM 18 rice at 7,800 – 8,000 VND/kg; Long An dry sticky rice is priced at 9,800 – 10,100 VND/kg.
Recorded in localities such as Can Tho, Dong Thap, Kien Giang, Summer-Autumn rice near the cut-off date is slow, prices are firm. In Hau Giang and Kien Giang, June rice is offered for sale in large quantities at high prices. In Can Tho, the price of Summer-Autumn rice increased.
In today’s rice market, rice prices of all types fluctuate in opposite directions between raw rice and finished products. Accordingly, the price of IR 504 raw rice stabilized around 11,550 – 11,650 VND/kg, down 50 VND/kg; Meanwhile, finished rice IR 504 increased by 50 VND/kg to 13,900 – 14,000 VND/kg.
For by-products, today’s by-product prices have not changed. Currently, the price of OM 5451 plate remains stable at 10,400 – 10,500 VND/kg; Dry bran increased slightly by 50 VND/kg to 6,350 – 6,450 VND/kg.
At retail markets, rice prices also did not fluctuate. Currently, rice prices often fluctuate around 15,000 – 16,000 VND/kg; Jasmine rice 17,500 – 19,000 VND/kg; Nang Nhen rice 26,000 VND/kg; long-sliced pineapple 19,000 – 20,000 VND/kg; Huong jasmine rice 20,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000 VND/kg. Common white rice 18,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice 19,500 VND/kg; Soc rice usually costs 18,000 – 19,000 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice costs 18,500 VND/kg; Japanese rice costs 22,000 VND/kg.
On the export market, today’s export rice price remains stable. According to the Vietnam Food Association, the export price of 5% broken rice is currently at 585 USD/ton; 25% broken rice at 555 USD/ton; 100% broken rice remained stable at 470 USD/ton.
