The price of Japanese rice ranges from 7,800 to 8,000 VND/kg. Nang Nhen rice (dry) is priced at 13,000 VND/kg; AG sticky rice (fresh) costs 6,200 VND/kg

With dry sticky rice, AG (dry) sticky rice is priced in the range of 7,200 – 7,600 VND/kg, Long An (dry) sticky rice is priced in the range of 7,900 – 8,100 VND/kg.

For rice, the price of raw rice remained stable, while finished rice increased. Accordingly, the price of raw rice fluctuates around 9,700 – 9,770 VND/kg; finished rice at 11,000-11100 VND/kg, an increase of 50 VND/kg. In the Asian rice market, Indian rice prices recovered slightly as the recent price drop attracted buyers from Asia.

According to rice exporters, now the source of winter-spring rice has been exhausted, the early summer-autumn rice area is small, and the quality is not stable, so few customers come to negotiate new contracts. While the Philippines has a large inventory, the price of Vietnamese rice is too high, forcing them to stop to bring the price down.

This is also the general trend of buyers to reduce price pressure, especially for large customers. However, the price of rice is likely to continue to increase in July and August but the increase will not be much because the price of Vietnamese rice is higher than that of rice exporting countries Thailand, India and Pakistan.
