Specifically, at An Giang warehouse, the price of OM 18 rice was purchased by traders for 6,800 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice price 6,300 – 6,500/kg. IR 50404 rice price ranges from 6,200 to 6,400 VND/kg. Nang Hoa 9 rice is purchased by traders with prices ranging from 6,600 to 6,800 VND/kg. The price of Taiwanese fragrant 8 rice ranges from 6,800 to 7,000 VND/kg. The price of Japanese rice ranges from 7,800 to 8,000 VND/kg. Nang Nhen rice (dry) is priced at 13,000 VND/kg; AG sticky rice (fresh) costs 6,200 VND/kg

For dried sticky rice, AG (dry) sticky rice is priced in the range of 7,200 – 7,600 VND/kg, Long An (dry) sticky rice is priced in the range of 7,900 – 8,100 VND/kg.

For rice, the price of raw rice was adjusted to increase by 20-100 VND/kg, while the finished rice remained stable. Accordingly, the price of raw rice fluctuates around 9,700 – 9,770 VND/kg; finished rice at 11,000 – 11,050 VND/kg, remained stable. For by-products, broken price remained stable while the price of dried bran adjusted to increase by 50 VND/kg. Accordingly, sheet price remained stable at 9,400-9,500 VND/kg; dried bran 7,400-7,700 VND/kg, an increase of 50 VND/kg.

At the retail market, the price of rice remained stable, ordinary rice remained 11,500 – 12,500 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice 15,000 – 16,000 VND/kg; Soc rice is usually 15,000 VND/kg; Sticky rice 16,000 – 18,000 VND/kg; Common white rice 14,500 VND/kg; Miss Hoa 18,500 VND/kg; Soc Thai 18,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 20,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice 22,000 VND/kg; Bran 7,600 – 8,000 VND/kg; Long grain Thai fragrant rice maintains 18,000 – 19,000 VND/kg and Huong Lai 19,000 VND/kg.

According to traders, the source of raw rice today is less, the wharf is empty of rice. The summer-autumn rice market has not changed much.

In the export market, the export price of Vietnam’s 5% broken rice is being offered at $498/ton. Meanwhile, the price of 25% broken rice is at $478/ton; Jasmine rice 578 USD/ton.

Theo báo cáo của Bộ Nông nghiệp Hoa Kỳ (USDA) tháng 6/2023, sản lượng gạo toàn cầu niên vụ 2022/2023 dự báo tăng đáng kể so với dự báo trước đó, chủ yếu là do vụ mùa lớn hơn ở Ấn Độ. Xuất khẩu dự kiến giảm trong khi nhập khẩu được dự báo cao hơn. Báo cáo này cũng chỉ ra rằng nhập khẩu gạo của Philippines trong năm 2023 dự báo tiếp tục tăng nhẹ trong khi nhập khẩu của Trung Quốc sẽ giảm so với ước tính trước đó.

Về xuất khẩu, USDA điều chỉnh tăng ước tính xuất khẩu gạo của Việt Nam năm 2023 và giảm xuất khẩu của Trung Quốc và Pakistan so với ước tính trước đó.

Thực tế, trong những ngày đầu tháng 6, giá gạo xuất khẩu của Việt Nam trụ vững ở đỉnh trong khi các nước còn lại có xu hướng giảm. Theo đó, so với đầu tháng 5/2023, giá gạo 5% tấm của Pakistan chỉ còn 488 USD/tấn, giảm khoảng 50 USD. Gạo của Thái Lan còn 494 USD/tấn, giảm khoảng 10 USD. Gạo của Ấn Độ tăng nhẹ lên 453 USD/tấn. Riêng gạo 5% tấm của Việt Nam trụ vững ở mốc 498 USD/tấn, cao nhất thế giới.
