Rice price today September 20, 2023 in the domestic market, rice price decreased by 200 VND/kg. Export rice prices maintain a stable level.
Recorded rice prices today September 20 in the Mekong Delta fluctuated in opposite directions when adjusted downward for finished rice and dry bran. Meanwhile, for the remaining items, anchor prices are high.
Specifically, at An Giang warehouse, according to the update of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province on the morning of September 20, the price of Dai Thom 8 rice fluctuated around 8,000 – 8,100 VND/kg; OM 18 rice is priced at 8,000 – 8,200 VND/kg, OM 5451 is priced at 7,700 – 8,100 VND/kg; Hoa 9 price is 8,200 – 8,400 VND/kg; IR 50404 rice is stable at 7,700 – 8,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice 7,800 – 8,000 VND/kg.
With sticky rice, dry An Giang sticky rice is at 9,200 – 9,400 VND/kg; Dry Long An sticky rice ranges from 9,300 – 9,450 VND/kg.
For rice products, today the rice price is adjusted down by 200 VND/kg for finished rice, while remaining the same for raw rice. Accordingly, the price of IR 504 raw rice fluctuates around 11,900 – 12,000 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice is adjusted down 200 VND/kg to 13,800 – 13,900 VND/kg.
Similarly, by-products also fluctuated in opposite directions when remaining stable with broken rice and adjusted downward with dry bran. Specifically, the price of IR 504 panels fluctuates around 11,800 – 12,000 VND/kg; Meanwhile, the price of dry bran decreased by 100 VND/kg to 6,600 – 6,700 VND/kg.
It was recorded that in the Mekong Delta region today, traders bought more Autumn-Winter rice in the fields than a few days ago. Fall-Winter rice prices are relatively stable compared to yesterday. Summer-Autumn rice sources are exhausted.
In Dong Thap and Kien Giang, the price of IR 504 rice, Japonica rice is stable, hybrid transactions, broken rice of all kinds, prices are stable compared to yesterday, demand is high, supply is low. Particularly in Tien Giang, the price of OM 18 raw rice decreased slightly.
At retail markets, rice prices do not fluctuate. Specifically, ordinary rice is usually priced at 13,000 – 15,000 VND/kg; Common white rice 16,000 VND/kg; nang rice 23,000 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant rice 18,000 – 20,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice 15,500 – 17,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice 19,500 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice 19,000 VND/kg; squirrel rice usually costs 16,000 – 17,000 VND/kg; Thai squirrel rice 18,500 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice 22,000 VND/kg.
On the export market, today’s export rice price remains stable. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the export price of 5% broken rice is currently at 613 – 617 USD/ton and 25% broken rice fluctuates around 598 – 602 USD/ton.
