Similarly, AG sticky rice (fresh) costs 6,300 – 6,400 VND/kg; Long An sticky rice (fresh) ranges from 7,200 – 7,500 VND/kg.

According to factories in An Giang area, the fall-winter rice market has mixed transactions. Farmers offer high prices for rice, but the level of closing transactions is not much, especially with rice near the cutting date. The source of summer-autumn rice has dried up, and the amount of rice left is small.

Regarding rice products, today they were simultaneously adjusted down by 50 – 100 VND/kg. Accordingly, IR 504 raw rice decreased by 50 VND/kg to 12,300 – 12,350 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice decreased by 50 VND/kg to 14,300 – 14,400 VND/kg.

Particularly, the price of by-products is reduced by 100 VND/kg with dried bran. Accordingly, the price of IR 504 panels ranges from 11,900 – 12,000 VND/kg; Meanwhile, the price of dry bran decreased by 100 VND/kg to 7,400-7,450 VND/kg.

According to traders, in Kien Giang, the amount of rice is just enough to supply the warehouses, and the prices of OM 18 and OM 380 rice are stable. In An Giang, sticky rice prices are stable, Long An sticky rice prices also have no fluctuations.

At retail markets in An Giang province, rice prices are stable and do not fluctuate. Representative of Vinh Hien Co., Ltd. (Tien Giang) acknowledged that rice prices have increased about 25% compared to the previous winter-spring crop. In recent days, rice prices have been relatively stable, but with current prices keeping many businesses “tired”, especially domestic rice businesses.

In the rice export market, according to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA) on August 28, export rice prices increased by 5 USD/ton to 628 – 643 USD/ton. Accordingly, the export price of 5% broken rice is at 643 USD/ton, 25% broken rice is at 628 USD/ton.
