Rice price today on August 19, 2023 in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam: Export price of rice increased by 10 USD/ton

Rice prices today on August 19, 2023 in the domestic market decreased slightly with raw rice. In the export market, the price of Vietnamese rice continued to increase.

Rice prices today on August 19, 2023 in the Mekong Delta region leveled off and moved sideways after an upward correction.

Accordingly, in An Giang, according to the update of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, the price of IR 504 rice is at 7,600 – 7,800 VND/kg; Dai Thong 8 rice at 7,800 – 8,000 VND/kg; price of OM 18 rice is at 7,800 – 8,000 VND/kg, OM 5451 remains around 7,600 – 7,800 VND/kg; Miss Hoa 9 costs 7,200 – 7,600 VND/kg; Japanese rice is also stable at 7,800 – 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Nhen rice (dry) at 13,000 VND/kg.

With sticky rice, Long An sticky rice (fresh) at 7,000 – 7,500 VND/kg; fresh An Giang sticky rice price is stable at 6,300 – 6,600 VND/kg; AG (dry) sticky rice at 7,700 – 7,900 VND/kg; Long An sticky rice (dry) costs 7,700 – 7,900 VND/kg.

For rice, the price of rice fluctuated in opposite directions when it was adjusted down with raw rice and remained stable with the rest of the varieties. Accordingly, the price of raw rice was adjusted down by 50 VND/kg to 12,350 VND/kg; finished rice remained stable at 14,500 – 14,600 VND/kg.

For by-products, the price of IR 504 sheet remained stable at 11,800 VND/kg; while the price of dried bran remained stable at 7,600 VND/kg.

On the domestic rice market, in An Giang, retail prices of rice remained stable. Accordingly, white rice is usually at 15,000 VND/kg; finely chopped aromatic seeds 18,000 – 20,000 VND/kg; sticky intestine at 15,000 – 17,000 VND/kg; fragrant Jasmine rice 17,000 – 18,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice 19,500 VND/kg.

Today, the amount of rice is less, the price of rice of all kinds is stable. In An Cu, Cai Be district, Tien Giang province, raw rice is of good quality, with little source.

In Can Tho, the demand for finished rice is high, the source of raw rice is small, and the warehouse is stable.

In Lap Vo, Sa Dec (Dong Thap province), the amount of raw rice is small. Some warehouses stopped buying, the price of raw rice stabilized.

The rice market continues to maintain a stable trend with high prices. Few new transactions.

In the rice export market, according to the Vietnam Food Association, at the end of the trading session on August 18, Vietnam’s export rice price increased by 10 USD/ton with 25% broken. Accordingly, the export price of 25% broken rice was at 618 USD/ton, up 10 USD/ton compared to August 17.

Meanwhile, the price of 5% broken rice was stable at $628/ton – the highest in the world.
