For rice, the price of raw rice continued to increase by 50 VND/kg to 12,050 VND/kg. While the price of finished rice is stable at 13,800 – 13,900 VND/kg.

For by-products, the price of IR 504 sheet remained stable at 11,600 VND/kg; Meanwhile, the price of dry bran is 7,550 VND/kg.

On the domestic rice market, in An Giang, retail prices of rice remained stable. Accordingly, white rice is usually at 15,000 VND/kg; diced pineapple 18,000 – 20,000 VND/kg; intestinal sticky rice at 15,000 – 17,000 VND/kg; fragrant Jasmine rice 17,000 – 18,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice 19,500 VND/kg.

According to traders in the Mekong Delta, today the amount of rice is stable. In An Giang, warehouses asked to buy hybrid rai, purchasing power was better than yesterday. Warehouses accept to buy finished rice at a price higher than 30-50 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

According to many exporters, the price of Vietnamese rice exports has increased sharply, making it difficult for businesses to close contracts with customers.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Hoa – Director of Duong Vu Rice Co., Ltd. said that currently, the business has completed the delivery of old orders, while new orders have not yet been received. The reason is that export prices are at a high level. Therefore, importers are giving priority to receiving old orders from other exporters.

“The big customers, which can affect the market price, they haven’t bought yet. Meanwhile, there are still export orders with high prices, but these are retail customers, unable to decide the market price, “said Mr. Hoa.
