Accordingly, the sticky rice market did not record a new adjustment. Specifically, 3-month sticky rice (dried) went sideways with prices ranging from 9,000 VND/kg to 9,100 VND/kg. Similarly, 9,700 – 10,000 VND/kg is the selling price applied to Long An sticky rice (dried). On the other hand, 3-month sticky rice (fresh) and Long An sticky rice (fresh) continued to be stable today.

It is noted that in localities such as Tien Giang, An Giang, Soc Trang, and Dong Thap today, the rice supply is less, the demand for rice from warehouses is steady, the price continues to increase by 100 – 200 VND/kg. Specifically, the price of IR 504 raw rice fluctuates around 10,800 – 10,850 VND/kg, an increase of 150 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice remained stable at 13,150 – 13,250 VND/kg, an increase of 100 VND/kg.

At retail markets, rice prices are flat. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of 26,000 VND/kg; Jasmine rice 17,000 – 18,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice 20,000 VND/kg; Regular rice usually fluctuates around 15,000 – 16,000 VND/kg; long-sliced ​​pineapple 19,000 – 20,000 VND/kg; Huong jasmine rice 20,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 20,000 VND/kg; Common white rice 18,000 VND/kg; Soc rice usually costs 18,000 – 19,000 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice costs 18,500 VND/kg; Japanese rice costs 22,000 VND/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam’s rice export prices today continued to decline. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), standard 5% broken rice is currently at 577 USD/ton, down 2 USD/ton; 25% broken rice at 558 USD/ton; 100% broken rice remained stable at 478 USD/ton.

In less than half a year, Vietnam’s rice export price from the highest in the world has reversed, falling to the lowest among the group of major exporting countries.
