Rice prices today June 28 in the Mekong Delta region continue to trend sideways with rice. The price of raw rice decreased by 100 – 150 VND/kg, and the price of finished rice decreased by 100 VND/kg.

Recorded at rice warehouses in Sa Dec (Dong Thap), rice sources are small, prices are stable, warehouses buy in moderation. Localities such as Hau Giang and Soc Trang today have not had much rice supply, transactions are slow, and demand from warehouses is not strong.

Accordingly, rice prices today decreased slightly. Specifically, the price of IR 504 raw rice decreased by 100 – 150 VND/kg at 10,700 – 10,950 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice decreased by 100 VND/kg at 12,800 – 13,000 VND/kg.

Today’s by-product items are slightly increased compared to yesterday. Currently, the price of dry bran is at 7,000 – 7,100 VND/kg, an increase of 50 VND/kg. The price of IR 504 panels decreased by 200 VND/kg compared to yesterday at 9,200 – 9,400 VND/kg.

At retail markets, rice prices have not been adjusted. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of 30,000 VND/kg; Jasmine rice 18,000 – 20,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice 20,000 VND/kg; Regular rice usually fluctuates around 15,000 – 16,000 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant rice 20,000 – 21,000 VND/kg; Huong jasmine rice 20,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000 VND/kg; Common white rice 17,000 VND/kg; Regular Soc rice 18,500 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice costs 20,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice costs 22,000 VND/kg.

With rice products, it was recorded that in localities in the Mekong Delta, transactions were slow, the price of fresh rice offered for sale had little change compared to yesterday, traders abandoned many deposits due to bad rice. In Can Tho, most of them have already made deposits, and there are few new rice transactions. In Dong Thap, new rice transactions are few and prices are high. In Soc Trang, trading is stable, traders ask to buy a lot.

Specifically, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, Dai Thom 8 rice fluctuates around 7,200 – 7,400 VND/kg; OM 18 rice is at 7,200 – 7,400 VND/kg; IR 504 rice is at 7,000 – 7,200 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice is at 6,900 – 7,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice fluctuates around 7,600 – 7,700 VND/kg; OM 380 rice is at 6,800 – 7,000 VND/kg.

Accordingly, the sticky rice market recorded no correction compared to yesterday. 3-month sticky rice (dried) maintains the same price compared to the price of 8,800 – 9,000 VND/kg. In addition, 9,000 – 9,200 VND/kg is the selling price applied to Long An sticky rice (dried), reduced by 500 VND/kg. On the other hand, 3-month sticky rice (fresh) and Long An sticky rice (fresh) continued to be stable today.

In the export market, Vietnam’s export rice prices have not had any adjustment. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 100% broken rice is stable at 468 USD/ton; Standard 5% broken rice is currently at 567 USD/ton; 25% broken rice was stable at 543 USD/ton.
