Specifically, at An Giang warehouse, the price of some rice varieties decreased from 100-200 VND/kg, including: Long An sticky rice (dry) 7,700 – 7,900 VND/kg, down 200 VND; Fresh IR 50404 rice was purchased by traders at 6,200 – 6,400 VND/kg, down 100 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice costs 6,200 – 6,400 VND/kg, down 100 VND/kg.

Other rice varieties remained stable compared to yesterday, including: OM 18 priced at 6,800 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice is about 6,600 – 6,800 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice in the range of 6,800 – 7,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice in the range of 7,800 – 8,000 VND/kg.

Nang Nhen rice (dry) is priced at 13,000 VND/kg. AG sticky rice (fresh) costs 6,200 VND/kg. Dried An Giang sticky rice fluctuates around 7,400-7,600 VND/kg.

In Hau Giang, traders now buy fresh rice in the field with some key varieties such as OM 18, Dai Thom 8, OM 5451… with prices ranging from 6,200 to 6,400 VND/kg (depending on varieties).

In Soc Trang, Dai Thong 8 is at 8,100 VND/kg, while RVT is 8,100 VND/kg, OM 5451 also stays at 7,800 VND/kg.

While the price of rice decreased, the price of raw rice and finished products increased slightly by 45-50 VND/kg. Accordingly, IR 504 HT raw rice fluctuates around 9,900-9,920 VND/kg, up 45 VND/kg. IR 504 finished rice at 11,250 VND/kg, a slight decrease of 25 VND/kg.

For by-products, the price of IR 504 sheet is at 9,550 – 9,650 VND/kg, up 50 VND/kg; Dry bran price is stable at 7,400-7,550 VND/kg.

At the retail market, the price of rice remained stable, ordinary rice remained 11,500 – 12,500 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice 15,000 – 16,000 VND/kg; Soc rice is usually 15,000 VND/kg; Sticky rice 16,000 – 18,000 VND/kg; Common white rice 14,500 VND/kg; Miss Hoa 18,500 VND/kg; Soc Thai 18,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 20,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice 22,000 VND/kg; Bran 7,600 – 8,000 VND/kg; Long grain Thai fragrant rice maintains 18,000 – 19,000 VND/kg and Huong Lai 19,000 VND/kg.

In the rice export market, the export price of rice has decreased by 5 USD/ton. Accordingly, the price of Vietnam’s 5% broken rice is being offered at 503 USD/ton, down 5 USD/ton; 25% broken rice at $483/ton, down $5/ton. Particularly, Jasmine rice is stable at 578 USD/ton.

According to the analysis of some rice exporters, although the price of rice offered for sale at the beginning of the week decreased slightly, it is still standing at a high level compared to other rice exporting countries because the previously signed contracts are still many. However, now that the rice supply from the winter-spring rice crop has been exhausted, exporters are having to increase their purchase of high-priced rice to complete the signed contracts.

As for rice production in the domestic market, according to the agricultural sector of the provinces, currently the supply from this year’s summer-autumn rice crop is quite small because farmers in some provinces in the Mekong Delta have just started the season. harvest, and at the same time it is forecasted that the rice output in the summer-autumn crop that has been, is and is about to be harvested, will be low due to many factors about weather and farming conditions as assessed by farmers. From there, it is forecasted that in the coming days, rice prices will continue to remain stable.
